Master Sheet

Set up your Master Sheet in 5 minutes.

One Google Sheet holds the ad formats, the questions and the FlowVid script. Make your copy, deploy it once, and paste the link into FlowVid.

Make my copy of the Master Sheet

Google shows a page called Make a copy. Click Make a copy.

Make my copy. Google opens a Make a copy page. Click Make a copy.

The steps

  1. Step 1. Make my copy

Press Make my copy of the Master Sheet at the top of this page. Google shows a page called Make a copy. Click the blue Make a copy button. Your own copy opens in your Google Drive.

  2. Step 2. Open the script editor

In your copy of the Sheet, click Extensions in the menu bar, then Apps Script. The script editor opens in a new tab.

  3. Step 3. Check the script

Line 1 of the editor should say the line below. The script comes inside your copy. If the editor is empty, copy the script from the Setup Script tab of your Sheet and paste it in, then click Save.

// FlowVid Google Sheet script (v6)
  4. Step 4. Deploy

At the top right of the editor, click the blue Deploy button, then New deployment.

  5. Step 5. Choose Web app

In the New deployment window, click the gear icon next to Select type, then choose Web app.

  6. Step 6. Set access

Set Execute as to Me and Who has access to Anyone. Then click Deploy.

  7. Step 7. Allow access

Google asks you to allow access and shows a screen that says Google has not verified this app. This is expected for your own script. Click Advanced, then Go to FlowVid, then Allow.

  8. Step 8. Copy the link

Google shows your Web app URL. It ends in /exec. Click Copy. Keep this link private.

  9. Step 9. Paste in FlowVid

Open FlowVid Options, paste the link into the Google Sheet web app box and click Save. Click Test connection and wait for Connected. Then tick Watch my Sheet for new jobs. The FlowVid Options page has the same AI picker and a Download the Master Sheet button.

Use a new version of the script

Deploy > Manage deployments > pencil icon > Version: New version > Deploy. The address stays the same.

Connect your AI

Tip. Open the FlowVid side panel > Home, pick your AI, fill in what you know, press Copy the prompt, and paste it in your AI. It reads your Master Sheet, asks you the missing questions and writes the job into the FlowVid Jobs tab as a Draft. Then open FlowVid > Prompts and press Start.

Note. The AI writes your job straight into the Sheet. It does not paste the scenes into the chat. If your AI cannot edit Google Sheets, it gives you one table to paste under the last row of FlowVid Jobs (in Gemini press Export to Sheets).

Want a set video shape? Add this to your request:

Format: Vertical

Claude works with FlowVid through a Google Sheets connector that can edit your Sheet.

  1. Step 1. Open connector settings

Open Claude and go to its connector settings.

  2. Step 2. Connect Google Sheets

Connect a Google connector that can read and edit Google Sheets, and allow it to use your FlowVid Sheet.

  3. Step 3. Create a Project

Create a Project called "FlowVid videos" and paste the instruction block into the project's instructions.

    FlowVid instruction for your AI
When I ask you to send a video job to FlowVid, use your Google Sheets connector to add rows to the tab "FlowVid Jobs" in my Google Sheet. The columns are: Job, Type, Name, Text, Status, Result, Updated, Format. Leave Result and Updated empty, FlowVid fills them in.
    Rules:
    - Give every row of one job the same Job name, for example "Promo 24 Oct". Use a new Job name for every new job.
    - Row 1: Type "Project instructions". Text: the style, setting, tone, camera and format that apply to every clip.
    - Row 2: Type "Character consistency". Text: how the character looks and sounds in every clip. Use @me for my avatar.
    - Optional row: Type "Script instructions". Text: rules for voiceover and timing.
    - Then one row per clip: Type "Prompt", Name "Scene 1", "Scene 2"... Text: the full prompt for that 8-second clip, including the voiceover line.
    - Format (column H) is the video shape. Write "Horizontal" (16:9) or "Vertical" (9:16) on every row of the job, the same on all rows. If I did not say which shape I want, ask me before you write the job.
    - Set Status to "Ready" on every row and FlowVid starts the job by itself. If I ask you to only prepare a job, set Status to "Draft" instead: it then waits in the FlowVid side panel (Prompts tab) with a Start button.
    - Add all rows of the job in one go, with the same Status on every row.
    - Never change rows whose Status is not "Ready" or "Draft". FlowVid fills in Status, Result and Updated.
  4. Step 4. Ask for a video

Start a chat in that project and say: "Create a 6 scene product promo for my online course and send it to FlowVid."

    Screenshot goes here
  5. Step 5. Check your Sheet

Open your Sheet and check that rows appear in the FlowVid Jobs tab with Status Ready, then watch FlowVid start.

What you should see: New rows in FlowVid Jobs, every one with Status Ready.

Note. Connector names and menus change over time. If you cannot find an option, look for the connector that lets Claude edit Google Sheets, not only read them.
